Infertility and PCOS – How to Cure It

PCOS is perhaps the leading cause to infertility in women. A recent study has shown that for every ten women, there is one case of PCOS due to complications that the condition can potentially cause.

But perhaps the question here is how can you increase your chances of being fertile again if you have a history of PCOS? Sure, we already know that PCOS can definitely effect becoming pregnant and our ultimate goal is to cure it, but how are they linked? The simple explanation is that because your periods are erratic it often doesn’t allow your body the right conditions for it releases an egg. This is of course, caused by insulin resistance caused by the PCOS which in turn causes hormonal imbalances.

There are two ways to go about this: using prescription drugs or the holistic way.
Okay, I bet you’ve already heard my long and often tedious rants about pharmaceutical companies, you’ll know that I’m all for holistic medicine. Click here to find out more.

To be fair, there are a lot of medications out there that can help women with PCOS get fertile. Metformin (also known as Glucophage) helps wear down the insulin resistance in your body as well as normalize hormone levels. Again, hormone therapy may seem like a good idea but it does not completely deter the effects of insulin resistance in your body.

These methods have medical basis behind them so I’m not completely throwing them out as possible cures, however their short-term effects won’t do much good in the long run. In fact, they can make matters worse with their side effects that can affect you and your child!

The other way is of course, to use a natural cure. Now this can be a tad complicated to explain before it becomes clear, but this procedure is far less harmful than taking prescribed medication. The end result is usually rewarding once you’ve laid out how the system works!

Natural PCOS Remedies to Cure Polycystic Ovary Syndrome for Good

If you are forced to cope with the problems that PCOS imposes on you then finding a way to get rid of this condition is essential which is where PCOS Natural Treatments come in.

Natural remedies are the best ways to get rid of PCOS because natural methods treat the root cause of the problem. natural cures are also safer compared to traditional ways of managing the condition.
Hormone Therapy - Some doctors get the wrong impression and believe that PCOS can be managed with hormone replacement therapy. This is not only wrong but it also can damage a woman's health! Hormone therapy is designed to bolster hormones especially estrogen because the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome are caused by unbalanced hormones. This is not as good as it sounds however as the hormonal imbalance is just a symptom of a deeper problem. Also, hormone therapy has been known to increase risks of breast cancer, Alzheimers disease and heart attacks.

Drugs - Like HRT other drug based solutions miss the point because they try to overcome the symptoms not the root cause of PCOS. Some drug companies do understand that the base problems need to be addressed but do not end the problem but only bring temporary relief ... this means it is STILL THERE! As soon as you stop taking the drugs the infertility, menstrual problems, weight gain, hair and all the other PCOS problems will return. Not to mention many women suffer terrible side effects when on certain drugs.

So What root cause of PCOS is there you are probably wondering and how do you fix it.

The answer to this is Insulin Resistance. This is a condition where the body produces insulin which is used to take glucose from your blood to give energy and the building blocks of life for various functions - In your case however the insulin does not work very well. As such, the body produces massive amounts of insulin in the hopes that more insulin will equal more energy as a small percentage of a lot might be enough.

The end result is a body flooded with insulin which is a hormone.

This causes massive knock on effects to your hormone balance which results in fluctuations of estrogen, progesterone and other hormones which throws your body and menstrual systems in chaos and thus ... PCOS happens.

So to counter PCOS you must fix insulin resistance which requires a combination of a change in how you think, dietary changes and lifestyle changes which can bring your hormones back in line and cater for your insulin resistance so it does not happen again.

How PCOS And Miscarriage Are Linked

While the health effects of polycystic ovary syndrom are well documented, research has shown a link may exist between miscarriage and PCOS.

The causes of this connection can be narrowed down to a few key suspects:

Blood Clots

PCOS is heavily related to the body's lack of hormonal balance, and this can lead to the formation of clots within the bloodstream. This in turn limits the blood flow to the embryo which can lead to a miscarriage.

Luteinizing Hormone Hypersecretion

This condition is simply where the body is releasing an over supply of a certain hormone. A miscarriage will occur as a result of this condition where it causes a defect in the egg because it has been released too soon. The miscarriage that will occur is because the body has rejected the egg

Protein Deficiency

PCOS has been linked to low levels of two particular proteins. In a study performed recently, 90% of women who suffered from a miscarriage had low levels of these 2 proteins. These proteins are vital to healthy development of the embryo and without it can jeopardize the whole process.

How Does Stress Cause PCOS?

We live in a world thats seems to suffer from ever increasing levels of stress. So can stress cause PCOS?

While it wouldn't be correct to say that it is the only cause, stress is most definitely a factor that contributes to the development of PCOS.

The effects of stress can usually be seen with psychological issues as attempt to deal with the problems but are overwhelmed. It also shows as stress has been proven to lower your immune system making you more prone to illnes and disease.

The link between stress and PCOS however is a little more direct because of a hormone called pregnenolone. Your body releases this hormone when you are stressed to help your body and mind cope but when we are under stress for a long period of time our body gets clogged with pregnenolone!

Hormones play a big part in the development and prevention of PCOS. If levels of this hormone remain too high, the balance of the other hormones is impacted and this can ultimately lead to the developemnt of PCOS.

Is It Possible To Naturally Shrink Ovarian Cysts?

If you want to shrink ovarian cysts then forget about going to the drug store, forget about the 'hope for the best' approach and do not even consider surgery which can leave your ovaries permanently damaged. And the great thing about this all natural approach is that the causes of the cyst are being targeted as opposed to just the symptoms.

Here are some simple strategies you can use to shrinkyour cysts quickly and effectively.

Remove Processed Foods From Your Diet

Packaged foods have a lower nutritional value than other more natural options

This means that your body breaks them down far more quickly and this results in rapid increases in the levels of your blood sugar. The way your body attempts to counteract this is by producing more insulin.

This can lead to an increase in weight if energy is stored as fat but also excessive amount of insulin.

Eating a diet full of natural foods will help level out these hormone imbalances.

Avoid Stress

Stress creates hormones which also throw out the balance of the body's hormones. If the body's estrogen gets out of balance it will have a negative effect on how well a body can decrease the size of the cyst

Reducing the levels of stress in your life is one of the most important and simple things you can o to reduce ovarian cysts.
